creative team

want to be part of the KCONN/Seoular family without having to dance? We are seeking people who are interested in joining our creative team. This will involve assisting in filming and editing our concept/workshop videosplease send us an email and let us know if you are interested!
ㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ
GENERAL INFORMATION
ㅤㅤ
‣ Those with less experience in this field may assist in lighting and set up during filming if you are more comfortable with that; if you want to practice filming we suggest you sign up for workshop video projects or ask to film during cv practicesㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ
‣ We will choose who works on what concept videos based on everyone's availability. There will be a max of 2 people per video for each slot (excluding misc assistance).
ㅤㅤ
‣ Although you are on the creative team, this does not mean you will be able to dance in concept videos. The creative team is only responsible for filming, editing and photography for our concept videos as well as KCONN dance workshops; if you would like to be in a concept video you must audition for SEOULAR and pass.
ㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ
RULES
ㅤㅤ
1. If you are interested in filming a concept video, you must attend at least one practice. IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND, YOU CANNOT HELP
2. Consult eboard before doing something on your own (confirm before editing, posting or participating in projects)
-Do not edit without the consent of the eboard member in charge
3. Keep in mind that just because you are filming/taking photos, you will not necessarily be the one editing them unless stated in the activity sheet4. if you do not have any experience, you are required to film for at least one workshop before you are allowed to film for a concept video5. Limit your projects so we can allow everyone on the creative team a chance to work on something and improve their skills6. We will send out forms for each project and we will let you know as soon as possible if we have a position available for you for the specific project (only sign up if you will be committed to the project)

FAQ'S

What is the difference between KCONN and Seoular?
KCONN is a general kpop club where we will teach dance workshops and hold game nights every now and then; Seoular is our performance team, formed under KCONN. We release concept videos and perform at several campus events throughout the year (auditions are required)
ㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ
Do I have to dance to be a part of the Seoular/KCONN Family?
No, we have a creative team for seoular which involves assisting in filming/managing our concept videos and editing.
ㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ
Do I have to have dance experience?
You do not need experience! We host bi-weekly workshops where we teach short excerpts of choreography but in no way are you expected to have past experience. Our workshops are purely to learn and have fun!
ㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ
Does KCONN/Seoular have auditions?
Auditions are only required for seoular but anyone is welcome to come to our KCONN workshops
ㅤㅤ
Do you have any tips for the auditions?
As we do not have access to dance/mirror rooms at the moment, you can use empty class rooms and monitor yourself in your window reflection (this only works when its dark out lol but you can also monitor yourself by recording yourself a few times)
Some people have a preferred style of dance and it takes some time to realize which style you prefer or work better with.
Try memorizing the choreography and dancing along to the music without watching the dance practice (don't become dependent on following others and build your confidence! You won't be able to follow the dance practice at auditions anyway)
Don't be nervous! if you don't make it this semester you can always try for spring semester, just keep practicing!
ㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ
Do I have to audition for Seoular again spring semester if I’m already in Seoular?
No, but everyone must reaudition in the beginning of fall semester
ㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ
Where/When does Seoular perform?
Past events that we've performed at include AMP Asiantation, KSA Coffee house, Homecoming Lipsync, and our yearly Seoular Showcase held at the end of the year, as well as many other events.
We also hold a Winter Extravaganza for our KCONN members that wish to showcase what they've learned or put together!
